Role Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an A&R Analyst to join our dynamic team in Shanghai. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing Analysis & Reporting projects that align with JATO’s business strategy.
As an A&R Analyst, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and deliver high-quality, customized analysis and reporting solutions. Your tasks will include extracting, manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting automotive data.
This position requires availability for travel within China and occasionally overseas for project-related work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the customer engagement team to understand customer needs and help define requirements and solutions.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on JATO databases and other data sources through desk research.
- Develop and present analysis solutions for customers, creating methodologies to address core issues.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure high standards that exceed customer expectations.
- Monitor macro trends in the automotive industry (e.g., legislative changes, technological advancements, consumer buying habits) and identify areas where JATO can contribute.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Sales Team to promote analysis capabilities and develop new solutions for existing and potential customers.
- Plan and coordinate the development of reports and analysis for customers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Review and approve report quotations promptly, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and JATO’s capability to fulfill the request.
- Operate in alignment with the company’s guiding principles and vision.
- Generate data samples.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, especially for urgent requests.
- Collaborate with the Product team to develop new client business solution proposals.
- Work closely with the Area Manager and commercial team to create market-focused content.
- Show interest in new analysis topics and reporting technologies, and apply them practically.
Key Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in automakers, management consulting, or market research firms is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the automotive market and industry are preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly skilled in creating management presentations and developing comprehensive solutions or recommendations for defined problems.
- Expert in data manipulation to extract necessary information.
- University degree or higher; preferably a master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business analysis, economics, marketing, management, or a related field.
- Proactive and proven team player.
- Able to work within strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
- Committed and ready to take on responsibilities.
- Customer-focused (both internal and external).
- Excellent at building relationships, open-minded, and culturally sensitive.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access); experience with other BI tools is desired.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in both Mandarin and English.
