Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate across various teams to provide comprehensive support for our public cloud (Azure) and on-premises platforms (VMware).

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in networking and cloud infrastructure, who is eager to leverage the latest technologies to enhance operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily support of our public cloud (Azure) and on-premises platforms (VMware).
• Provisioning and administration of cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS).
• Implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of networking technologies.
• Maintenance of cloud and on-prem firewalls and VPNs.
• Facilitate and support development teams and the Software Development Life Cycle in MS DevOps.
• Management and support of Active Directory and Windows servers.
• Provisioning and management of monitoring/alerting systems.
• Support the backup and replication infrastructure.
• Improve existing processes through automation.
• Analysis of logs and audit trails.
• Infrastructure and server patching.
• Produce high-quality documentation, recommend, and write procedures for improved processes.
• Participate in the on-call rota if required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Azure IaaS/PaaS Administration: Proficient in managing and maintaining Azure cloud environments.
• Network Administration: Advanced skills in configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
• Firewall & VPN Administration: Expertise in managing firewalls and VPNs to ensure secure connectivity.
• Windows Server Administration: Strong experience in administering Windows servers.
• Managed File Transfer: Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols and systems.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Ability to set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
• Patching and Deployment: Experience with SCCM for patching and deploying software updates.
• Backup Administration: Skilled in managing backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell and JSON for automation and scripting tasks.
• Load Balancer Experience: Familiarity with configuring and managing load balancers.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• VMware vSphere Administration: Advanced skills in managing VMware vSphere environments.
• SAN Administration: Experience with SAN systems, particularly Dell EMC.
