Data Research Specialist : Office Based | Full Time |

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Research Specialists to join our Research team, based at our Aerocity office in Delhi, India.

About the role:

As Data Research Specialist, you’ll be responsible for collecting, updating, and maintaining high-quality automotive market data using JATO’s proprietary tools.

You’ll monitor market events, track trends, and ensure data accuracy through research, quality assurance, and collaboration with internal and external sources. Your work supports customer insights and contributes to the continuous improvement of JATO’s data products.

You’ll also stay aligned with evolving procedures and tools, and assist in resolving customer issues as part of the broader Data Operations team. 

Successful candidates must be available to start mid-November 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor automotive market events based on assigned workload, gathering relevant information to input into JATO databases using proprietary software, in line with company procedures and guidelines.
• Research, update, and process monthly changes in JATO’s proprietary software, ensuring alignment with quality standards, business requirements, SLAs, KPIs, and specific requests from head office.
• Source additional relevant data and maintain a consistent flow of high-quality information by leveraging effective networking and influencing skills across internal and external, primary and secondary sources.
• Deliver assigned workload and specialized tasks efficiently, prioritizing activities according to the immediate needs of the Data Operations Team.
• Track market trends and identify key events that generate valuable insights for JATO customers.
• Conduct quality assurance (QA) activities to enhance data accuracy and integrity, as part of the allocated workload.
• Resolve customer issues effectively, contributing to a positive JATO experience through the customer support and escalation process.
• Stay current with procedural updates and implement ongoing changes as directed by JATO’s operational guidelines.
• Engage in continuous personal development, actively participating in JATO’s learning curriculum.
• Utilize JATO tools and platforms, both current and future, to support data operations and business objectives.
• Apply corrections and updates to the database as instructed by Data Operations management and the Centre of Excellence (CoE).

 Key Requirements

• The ideal candidate will preferably hold a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Working experience and or/ familiarity with and curiosity about automotive trends, markets, vehicle technical specifications, and vehicle technology is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet management and data manipulation.
• Experience in managing large datasets, with the ability to extract insights and navigate ambiguity.
• Analytical mindset and data-driven approach, crucial for identifying relevant information and ensuring the highest quality data mixes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the capacity to work with extensive data for prolonged periods while maintaining high accuracy.
• Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
• Effective communication skills, enabling productive collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Curious and proactive attitude, with a drive to explore and improve.
• Highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
