Role Overview:
As a Data Specialist, you will will manage end‑to‑end data operations, including data flows, ETL processes, and timely database production. The role involves maintaining documentation, monitoring issues, performing data checks and comparisons, and conducting QA on data feeds. Responsibilities also include managing Azure-based operations (ADF, Blob Storage), handling backups and housekeeping, and collaborating with the development team to meet and improve SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize data across multiple databases.
Perform advanced data manipulation using SQL and build dashboards in Power BI.
Handle secure data transfers via networks and FTP tools.
Ensure data accuracy through cleaning and validation.
Use basic statistical methods for data interpretation.
Solve complex data issues with strong analytical thinking.
Maintain data privacy and follow security best practices.
Create effective data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Use Excel, Power BI, and other MS Office tools for data handling and reporting.
Apply local car market knowledge to enhance data accuracy (preferred).
Work proactively with strong self‑motivation and a results-driven approach.
Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
Adapt to evolving processes and organizational changes.
Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate well within a team with strong interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of Azure-based operations (ADF, Blob Storage).
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data modeling or a related role.
Strong understanding of data modeling (diagrams, normalization).
Proficient in SQL across relational and non‑relational databases.
Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., SQL DB, ERBuilder).
Familiarity with data governance, data warehousing, and BI concepts.
Experience using Power BI/Tableau for data visualization.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Flexible, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines; car market knowledge is a plus.
