We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Specialist Intern to join our dynamic team, which plays a critical role in JATO’s global operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure the efficient management, processing, and quality of our data. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management and analytics within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain excellent connections and robust network within automotive retail industry in the local region to aid data collection and validation necessary for the role.
To visit dealers in local region and build collaborative relationships with relevant dealer stakeholders to efficiently gather and validate business intelligence.
Source automotive data (volumes, Modelmix, incentives and pricing) in local market covering retail and wholesale in relation to PV, 2W, LCV etc to contribute to the business intelligence solutions JATO provides.
Follow research guidelines and processes to ensure data is gathered and processed in line with JATO’s three pillars of quality, completeness, and timeliness.
Validate JATO data insights with dealer stakeholders through conversations to enhance the predictive analysis tools adopted.
Align and update insights following dealer visits to ensure quality of data.
Input pricing and sales data into sales spreadsheet, quality checking the data to ensure accuracy, to contribute to JATO global database.
Create and maintain detailed dealer profiles, collecting information on critical points to facilitate network intelligence.
Develop high degree of knowledge about automotive industry verticals including product, pricing, incentive, and network policies of the OEMs to support data validation process.
Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations related to automotive sales and registration, providing timely updates to the team and management to share knowledge and support with dealer relationships.
Support ad-hoc data requests from internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested information.
Key Requirements:
Diploma or graduate degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.
Willing to travel daily, including inter-city.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and a regional language (if required).
Strong PC skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
Numerate with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the local automotive market and vehicle terminology.
Professional, organised, and proactive.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
Strong people skills and ability to build quick relationships.
Results-driven, resilient, and adaptable to change.
