Role Overview:
The Advisory Consultant is responsible for the new business target and project delivery from China Advisory team and also accountable for the project management on all Advisory projects that supports the business strategy.
The successful candidate will work closely with our customers in order to understand their needs and provide high-quality, customized solutions by JATO database, automotive industry insights and consulting methodology.
You must be available for travel within in China, sometimes to overseas for project if required.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the new business target and project delivery from China Advisory team
Form part of a customer engagement team, meeting with customers to understand their needs and support definition of requirements with project solutions proposal development
Create Advisory or consulting solutions for customers, developing methodology to address the core problem presented and deliver presentation of completed solutions
Prompt review and approval of project quotations, ensuring completeness and accuracy as well as JATO’s internal capability to fulfil the request.
Steer and lead overall project management individually with high efficiency and effectiveness, including but not limited to the customer communication, project planning, resource distribution, partner management, field work, data processing, quality checking, report delivery, on-site presentation and so on
Strive to achieve the timeliness, completeness and accuracy objectives, to deliver top quality delivery to demanding customers and perform Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure a consistently high quality standard exceeding customer expectation
Maintain a close working relationship with the Sales Team to drive awareness of consultancy capabilities and to develop new solutions for our existing and potential customers
Build up, extend and maintain a professional collaborative network and strong productive relationship with various stakeholders and ensure smooth communication, cooperation and alignment with them
Monitor macro trends in the automotive industry and propose areas where JATO can contribute as significant shifts occur
Conduct ad-hoc reporting analysis on the JATO databases and any other data by desk research, particularly in support of urgent requests where agreed
Work closely with Portfolio Manager and other teams to develop contents for marketing
Demonstrate an interest in new topics and technologies and find practical application of them.
Operate in line with the guiding principles of the company to ensure alignment with the vision of the organization.
Key Requirements:
Education
University degree or above; preferably master’s degree in strategy, consulting, business management, business analysis, economics, marketing, mathematics, statistics, or similar
Professional experience
6-10 years of experience of working in automakers/management consulting/market research firms would be required
Solid knowledge and insight of automotive market and overall industry would be required
Detail oriented with excellent analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient in building management presentations, creating a comprehensive case to develop a solution or recommendation to address a defined problem

Special skills
MS Office proficient (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access), other BI tools experience desired
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, both in Mandarin and English languages
